CPHC Newsletter
Hello Parrotheads. Happy fall. It’s definitely feeling like fall today.
We have a big day coming up on Saturday!
First Annual CPHC Car Show!!!
This is something we can still do this fall, and it’s outdoors, so we can socially distance ourselves.
I know a lot of you have cool cars and we’d LOVE to see them!! It doesn’t have to be a classic car, you can bring your motorcycle, hot air balloon, or whatever vehicle you want to show off on Saturday! Pete will open up the North gate and we can park all the cars in his North lot. There will be plenty of room to walk around and see all the cars.
I know there are a lot of members with cool cars, motorcycles, etc.. we’d love to see them!! So, get them over to Pete’s for our first annual charity car show!!!
When: Saturday October 17, 2020 – 10am
Where: President Pete’s yard, North side
Entrance Fee: Canned goods for the Community Table Food Bank and/or items for the Tennyson Center Christmas Party for the kids (see below for what items they need).
Please call or text Pete to let him know if you can make it with your car, so we know how many to expect. If we fill up his yard, we can use the parking lot next door!
As with all of our events this year, please bring your own drinks and your own food, since we can’t share anything these days.
We’ve also decided to have a pumpkin carving event on the patio.. so if you want to carve pumpkins with us, bring your pumpkin and your carving tools!
I’m sure you have all heard, we lost a very special Parrothead a couple of weeks ago. Rob Timlin (aka Mr Party Pants) died from complications of COVID-19. If you’d like to donate money to help Stacy with medical bills, you may do so at the link below:
Rob’s obituary:
October Events
As you probably have all guessed, there is no Denver Halloween Parade this year.
There will also be no regular October Club Meeting. We’ll have the car show instead!!
Donations Needed!!!!
It’s that time of year again, when 2 of our charities really need our help. Even though we are not having regular meetings, we’d like to have a food drive for the Community Table Food Bank and a drive for the Christmas Party at the Tennyson Center for Children.
Details for Tennyson Center for Children: Every year, the Tennyson Center has a Christmas Party for the kids. They give the kids essential items. They need gloves/mittens, socks, blankets and cute little things to go with them, like candy or some small item. They also need personal hygiene items, like soaps and shampoos. Please bring these items to the car show. We need enough items for 30 kids!
If you can’t make it to the car show, please contact Pete, Robin or Karen and we can arrange getting the items from you.
Details for Community Table: The food bank is running low and desperately needs donations. They need canned proteins and peanut butter, rice, canned veggies, spaghetti sauce and about any other type of non perishable food items that you can think of. Again, please contact Pete or Robin if you’d like to donate items so we can arrange getting them from you.
Since we haven’t had monthly charity events, let’s make these 2 charity events really great!
PHIP Special Elections
In case you haven’t heard, PHIP (our Mothership) has been in a great state of turmoil with a LOT of drama this year. There was a special election to replace board members who have resigned. The following are the newly elected board members:
Vice President – Brad Nunemaker
Director of Finance – Steve Elliott
Director of Membership – Eric Babin
The special election for the new PHIP President is under way, with results due out soon.
Club T-shirts!!
We are running low on club t-shirts for our 25th Anniversary. We have a few left in each size, but not a big assortment of colors any more. (Possible color options are: Pink, as shown below, Black, Butter Yellow, Caribbean Blue, Steel Gray, Periwinkle, Salmon and Sea Foam Green).
Please contact Robin or Pete to arrange getting your cool new club shirt! The cost is $30 each. (if you can’t pick one up, drop a check in the mail to us and please add $5 per shirt for shipping.)

The SHOW IS MOVED TO December 12, 2020!!
Several in our group are interested in going, so we checked into group tickets. They don’t really have a group ticket sales up there, and we were not able to get a large group of tickets, but we did manage to get a few. We have a very limited number, so we will sell them on a first come first serve basis. The cost is $75 each. Sorry we can’t accommodate everyone, but there are still tickets for sale, so if you’d like to go, and can’t fit into our limited number, please buy some tickets online. It will be a very fun night. “Jeffafa” is a SUPER funny!
Contact Robin if you’d like to buy tickets.
Fins up!
Parrot Head President, Pete!
