Hello and Happy Thursday!!
It’s hard to believe August is almost over! Where did the summer go??
We have new t-shirts for our 25th Anniversary!!! We have quite an assortment of colors (Pink, as shown below, Black, Butter Yellow, Caribbean Blue, Steel Gray, Periwinkle, Salmon and Sea Foam Green). We have a wide variety of sizes, and both men’s and lady’s cut shirts are available. The one shown below is a lady’s cut, with both front and back pictured.
The front has the original Parrot Head logo on it, and the back has a picture on it provided by Dixie LaHood. The pictures here don’t do it justice. They are awesome!! We’ll have them at all the meetings. If you can’t attend a meeting and would like one… please contact Robin or Pete to arrange getting your cool new club shirt! The cost is $30 each. (if you can’t make it to a meeting to pick one up, drop a check in the mail to us and please add $5 per shirt for shipping.)
For those of you going to Paris, Dublin and London for Buffett shows.. these will make great trades for other club shirts from around the world!
We also have T-shirts left over from the Parrot Head 5280 Fest (Party with a Purpose) They are really nice! We have white or teal colors, mens cut or ladies v-neck cut. They will be for sale at the meeting in September or you can contact Robin or Pete to arrange getting one. We will have some for sale at the next meeting. They are on sale now for $25 each. President Pete is modeling one below:

Colorado Avalanche Game??
We
have the possibility to get tickets for 2 games at discounted prices.
From what we heard last year, everyone would rather spend a little more
and have better seats. The games we are looking at having tickets for are
October 12 and January 2.
Thanks to those who have contacted us and expressed interest in going. We still
need to sell a lot more tickets to meet the minimums. I
If we get 75 people to go.. the Avs will open up a room for us to have pre-game
party in before the game, and will include some neat souvenirs for us to take
home. Please contact Pete, Robin or Karen if you are interested, so we
can get a head count. Based on the count will determine the price of the
tickets. Also, for a little extra $$, we can get Colorado Parrot Head /
Colorado Avalanche hockey sweaters. So please let us know if you are interested
so we can start planning.
Misc. Events
Escape to Margaritaville is coming to Denver for the holidays!!!
Ticket Sales are closed. Karen will have all the tickets. I will let you know when she has them, and at that point, you will need to make arrangements with Karen to get your tickets. It is not her responsibility to get your tickets to you. We had a few problems with distribution of Rockies tickets, so please make arrangements to take care of your own tickets.
