It’s Time For Our Party With a Purpose!!

We have an outstanding line up of musicians! We have some of the best in the industry coming to our event this summer!!

On Saturday, July 29, our lineup will be: Mark Mulligan with Rudy B on guitar, John Patti, Eric Erdman and Donny Brewer!!!

On Sunday, July 30th we have Carrie Welling, Erica “Sunshine” Lee and Thom Shepherd!!

The PWAP Weekend is here!!!  Saturday July 29 and Sunday July 30.

Cost will be $40 per day.  If you haven’t gotten your tickets (wrist bands) yet, you can buy them at the gate.

When: July 29 and 30 – gates open at 2:00pm (We will end no later than 10pm each day)

Where: Pete’s Place – Sticky Pete’s Oysters and Half-shell Shack, Main Stage.

Food:  The club will provide the meat for both days,  so please bring a side dish to share each day.  We don’t have a spare refrigerator, so please bring food for each day.  The same goes for Jell-o shots.. if you are making Jell-O shots (or yummy Key Lime shots.. hint hint), please bring half on Saturday and the other half on Sunday.

Saturday – The club is providing the meat (brisket and chicken) so please bring a side dish or dessert to share.

Sunday – we’ll do a Taco Bar. The club will provide the meat, so please bring a side dish to share, to go with a taco bar.

As always, bring your own chair; bring your own beverages (you’ll probably want to bring your drinks in your own cooler); bring sunscreen and dress in layers for the ever changing Colorado weather.

Decorating Contest:  We had so much fun last year with the decorating contest, we’ve decided to do that again.. so bring your decorations for your Easy Ups/seating areas!

Raffle Baskets and Silent Auction:  This is really no different than in years past.  At the end of the event, in this case, that would be later on Sunday (probably around 3:30 or 4:00), we will draw all the tickets for the raffle baskets and determine who is high bidder on each of the silent auction items.  MOST people are planning to attend both days. Although,  we do have some folks who will be there on Sunday only, so we are keeping the raffle and auction open until later Sunday afternoon, so those Sunday only folks get a chance to buy tickets and try to win something.  If you can’t be there later on Sunday, you can write your name and phone number on each of your raffle tickets, so if we do pull your ticket out as a winner, we can contact you.  We thought about having everyone write their name and number on each ticket, but that didn’t sound like fun to me.  I don’t know about you… I certainly don’t want to write my name and number on each ticket that I buy.  To reiterate, you do not need to write your name and phone number on your tickets, unless you are NOT going to be there on Sunday late afternoon.  (Remember, as you put your tickets into the jars in front of the raffle baskets,  keep the half of each ticket that says KEEP THIS TICKET)

This is our big charity event, so please help us out by bringing raffle baskets and silent auction items!  We will have blank bid sheets for auction items that we can fill out as items come in, and we will have cards to fill out descriptions for the raffle baskets and will attach these to each basket.

The charities this year are My Fairy Dawg Mother and Clothes To Kids of Denver.

My Fairy Dawg – Is a Colorado based non-profit dog rescue focused on finding the perfect long term home for each dog brought under our rescue umbrella. My Fairy Dawg Mother Rescue, Inc, established in early 2011,  boasts a 100% success rate with over 800 dogs that have been placed since the creation of the rescue.

MFDM Rescue was founded in an effort to save abused and neglected dogs from across the United States, and pair them with loving and stable Colorado families.

Their formula for successful placement of each rescue dog lies in a plan that includes foster homes, behavioral modification training, complete vetting, an adoption agreement, and a trial period offered to every adoption candidate with their potential canine companion.  For more information, please see:

Clothes To Kids of Denver – The mission of Clothes To Kids of Denver is to provide new and quality used clothing to students from low-income or in-crisis families in the Denver Metro Area, free of charge.

History:

As school volunteers, Jode Eye and Marie McClung saw first-hand that inadequate clothing was a barrier to success among low-income children and youth. After some research, the two women discovered a tremendous need within their community for clothing for students, and worked together to found the first Clothes to Kids in Florida in 2002.

Gail Cerny, a volunteer serving in Colorado schools, also recognized a striking number of students without adequate clothing, which noticeably impacted their peer interactions, school attendance and ability to build self-esteem. After examining possible ways to meet this need in the Denver community, Gail visited the Clothes to Kids store in Florida in January of 2007. She was so inspired by the impact Clothes To Kids was having that she joined forces with Joyce Meyers, Lesa Butler and Mary Overington to found Clothes to Kids of Denver (CTKD), which opened its doors on September 2, 2008.

Today, CTKD provides hundreds of free school wardrobes each month to students from low-income or in-crisis families and has built a strong reputation among schools, human service agencies, shelters, hospitals, clinics and faith communities across the Denver Metro Area, which have come to rely on CTKD to meet the clothing needs of students from low-income families.  For more information, please see:
