TGIF! I hope it’s been a good week and  you’ve all gotten out and enjoyed some sunshine between our afternoon rain storms. Summer is in full gear, and we have plenty of fun summer activities on the calendar. Here’s what happening this weekend, and in the near future:

Events This Weekend

Saturday Afternoon, 6/25: Dock Party at Chatfield Marina

Rules are the same as a Beer Friday, just BYOB, a snack, a chair to sit in, sunscreen, or whatever else you want! Tom is on the P Dock, #31. Directions to get to his slip: The easiest way to get to the Marina is using Chatfield’s south entrance off Sante Fe and Titan. See our Upcoming Events sidebar in the club email for address.

Friday, 7/8/2016: Beer Friday at Barb & Larry’s
Save the date for July 8th and join us for Beer Friday at Barb & Larry Ruden’s house. The party will start around 6pm. Bring a drink, bring a snack, and come spend some time socializing with your Parrot Head friends! See our Upcoming Events sidebar in the club email for address.

Red Rocks Concert Update

We have gathered all of the payments for the Red Rocks show. We will be depositing your checks on Monday so that we can get the funds for AXS to pick up our checks. Once we have the tickets, we’ll set up some social hours for you to pick them up, so stay tuned. As for tailgating, we’ve made the decision that we will be doing our pre-concert party in the Red Rocks parking lot. That means that we will have some restrictions compared to tailgates at other venues, but we are still going to make sure it’s a great time! The plan is to party in the Upper South Lot, and we’ll be trying to gather as many of you was we can to come down the morning of the show to help stake claim to our spots! More details will come as the party preparation comes together.

Meeting Of The Minds Update

With all the happenings lately, we haven’t discussed Meeting Of The Minds in a while. We have a really big group of Colorado Parrot Heads going to Key West this year. Are you one of them? We’ll soon be sending out communications to those of you who signed up so we can start to plan our trip. I know we have some members who may still be looking for a place to stay, so if you have a room for rent let us know. If you have other ideas, such as an event we should meet-up at, or some activity that you really want to partake in, and you want to see if anyone wants to join along, let us know. We want to include all that info in our communications. Watch for our first MOTM group email in the next week or two. Finally, I want to thank everyone who came out to our meeting last weekend at Hopper’s. It was a sunny and hot day, and the drinks that Hopper’s were making were especially good! It was fun to hang out with all my fellow Parrot Heads, and to get to meet some new members! During our evening raffle we raised $375 for the Alzheimer’s Association, which was great for a somewhat small group. Thanks for coming out and supporting your club!
That’s all the news for now. Have a great weekend.

Fins Up!
