Hello and Happy Thursday, Parrot Heads!!
We still have T-shirts left over that we had made for the Parrot Head 5280 Fest (Party with a Purpose) They are really nice! We have white or teal colors, mens cut or ladies v-neck cut. They will be for sale at the meeting in August or you can contact Robin or Pete to arrange getting one. They are $30 each. President Pete is modeling one below:

ZAC Brown Concert!! TOMORROW NIGHT!!!!
Friday, August 9 – Coors Field
Who is ready to get Chicken Fried?? Hope to see some of you around Coors Field at various pubs! It should be an awesome show!!
Rolling Stones Concert!! – Saturday Night, August 10!!
Is anyone going to the Stones concert at Mile High Stadium? This may very
well be their last trip to Denver. I don’t want to “jinx’ them or put bad
karma on them.. but given their ages and given the fact it has been about 10 years
since they were in Denver last… they may not get back our way ever again.
It’s sure to be a fantastic show.
Hope to see some of you before the show tailgating at Mile High Stadium!
August Monthly Meeting: Saturday August 17
6:00pm
Hoppers Sports Bar and Grill, Wheat Ridge
This month, we will be doing a
food drive for the Meals on Wheels Program. Their pantry shelves
are empty, so please bring canned goods, canned proteins and peanut butter to
the meeting on the 17th. Also, please bring dog and cat food for the Meals on
Wheels program as well. So many of the “shut ins” have pets who need
to eat too. Robin and Lee will deliver the food we collect.
Our monthly charity is
Rocky Mountain Feline Rescue. We donate to a lot of
dog rescues, because dogs are near and dear to my heart.. so this time.. we
will help a cat rescue, because there are a lot of cat lovers amongst us also!
As always, please help us out by brining prizes we add to
our raffle!

Colorado Avalanche Game??
We
have the possibility to get tickets for 2 games at discounted prices.
From what we heard last year, everyone would rather spend a little more
and have better seats. The games we are looking at having tickets for are
October 12 and January 2.
If we get 75 people to go.. the Avs will open up a room for us to have happy
hour in before the game, and will include some neat souvenirs for us to take
home. Please contact Pete, Robin or Karen if you are interested, so we
can get a head count. Based on the count will determine the price of the
tickets.
