Wow has this been a long week. I’m ready for the weekend, how about you? There is a lot of events and news to cover, so let’s get right to it.
Beer Friday Tomorrow!
Don’t forget that tomorrow night at 6pm is the Beer Friday at Steve and Alison Phillip’s. Beer Friday’s are just a fun way to get together and start the weekend off with some beers and socializing. Jim Morris Tickets
Jim Morris is coming through Colorado this month and he’s stopping for two house concerts. Based on the excitement I heard about this after last week’s newsletter, I know many of you know exactly who Jim is. If you don’t, check out his music here: jim-morrismusic.com/
Jim Morris in Littleton, Saturday, June 25th
Jim Morris is playing in Littleton Saturday, June 25th from 5pm to 10pm. This concert is being hosted by Jill Christopher, and tickets are available now. Literally, right now (Thursday June 9th). Dave and Lynne are at Hurricane’s Grill & Wings (8025 W Bowles Ave, Littleton, CO 80123) until 8pm tonight, so stop by and get your tickets. More events to purchase tickets may be announced soon, so watch our CPHC Facebook Pagefor updates. They will also have tickets for sale at the June club meeting, or you can purchase them at the door the day of the concert. Tickets are $20.
Jim Morris at Shiloh Ranch, Sunday, June 26th
On Sunday, enjoy a 2nd Jim Morris show at the Shiloh Ranch, about 15 minutes northeast of Colorado Springs. Just like any house concert you should bring a chair, your beverage of choice, and a snack to share. Tickets are $20. Click to see the show flyer for more information.
Annual Party With A Purpose Update
I hope you got your ticket for our August 20th Party With A Purpose House Concert featuring Thom Shepherd and Coley McCabe already, because the show has SOLD OUT. Yes, all 150 tickets have been sold. If any space opens up we will let you know, but for now no more tickets are available.
If you have your tickets, we’d like to ask you to volunteer to help make this party and our fundraising for TLC Meals for Wheels a big success again this year. Volunteers will be needed to help with party-day set up, tickets, wrist bands, food collection, trash monitoring and post-show clean up. We could really use everyone’s help, so please consider donating an hour of your time to pitch in before and after the show. We’ll have sign-up sheets at the next club meeting, or you can reply and let me know how you want to help.
We’re also still looking for donations to the silent auction. If you have any merchandise, services or gift certificates you want to donate, please let me know. Last year we raised $4000 for TLC Meals For Wheels, and we would love to top that this year! Let’s all put some PURPOSE in our party!
Upcoming Events
Tom Rompies is hosting another dock party at the Chatfield Marina at 11am on Saturday, June 25th. Stop by before the Jim Morris concert and enjoy some sun and fun on the water at Chatfield! We attended the last dock party, and it was so nice to spend a summer day on the water, watching the boats and enjoying the beautiful scenery. Check it out yourself next time! The party will be at The Chatfield Marina on P dock #31. We’ll have full details and directions in the newsletter as the date gets closer, or you can check outthe details on our CPHC Calendar.
