Meeting This Saturday, January 21st
Tomorrow will be our January club meeting and our first phlocking of the new year! I hope to see you all at Hopper’s, 6pm.
Remember, since we had to postpone our December meeting & Jimmy Buffett birthday celebration, this month’s meeting will feature our Mystery Gift Raffle! The raffle will work the same as usual (tickets will be $1 each or 6-for-$5) but if your ticket is pulled, you get to pick a Mystery Gift from the table!! You could win something good, or silly, or alcoholic. You never know! Please bring a wrapped gift to donate to our raffle. For each wrapped gift you donate, you’ll get a free raffle ticket!
In addition to the special raffle, we will still be taking food donations for TLC Meals on Wheels. Bring your non-perishable foods, personal care items or pet foods for this important charity!
It’s Membership Renewal Time!
It’s time to renew your CPHC membership for 2017! If you haven’t already paid your annual membership renewal fee, we’ll be taking those payments at the meeting this weekend. Renewal rates are $30 for individuals and $40 for families, and we prefer payments in cash, check or money order.
Remember, you need to renew by January 31st to keep your 2017 membership active. If you pay after this month, you’ll be paying the new member rates, which are $5 higher. So don’t delay, and renew today!
If you can’t be at the meeting this Saturday, you can also renew by mail or online. All of the details on how you can renew your membership can be found on our website at: www.colophc.org/renew/.
St. Patrick’s Day Float Update
On Wednesday a bunch of us met at Hopper’s to discuss our 2017 Denver St. Patrick’s Day Parade float and try to come up with a theme. I’m happy to say that we had lots of participation and great ideas! There was one idea in particular that several folks suggested… and in the end, everyone decided that it was the clear winner! What was it? Well you’ll have to show up on Saturday to see! We still need lots of help to make this idea a reality, so we are looking forward to your thoughts and input and can discuss more on Saturday. If you can’t make the meeting, we’ll share our idea on the CPHC Facebook Page on Sunday.
Also, I’ve reached out to a couple of you about being the main planners/leaders on our Design and Build teams. There are others I still want to chat with about it, so hopefully you will be there Saturday. If you won’t be there, and you are interesting in helping lead on one of these teams, please reach out. I’m looking specifically for those of you with some great building/plannings skill, who are usually able to commit to being at the build most of our build days. If that sounds like you and you won’t be there Saturday, please reply and I’ll reach out to you.

Beer Friday & Game Night on February 3rd
On Friday, February 3rd, Janette Lawler is hosting a Beer Friday and game night! Kick off the weekend right at Janette’s home in Wheat Ridge, and enjoy playing some games with your Parrot Head friends! There will be some Cards Against Humanity, some Taboo, and lots of other fun! Plan on bringing your own beverage, plus a snack to share. The party will starts at 5pm, so come on over after work and have Happy Hour with your CPHC phlock.
