Happy Thursday! The holidays are fast approaching and more wintery weather is scheduled to be rolling in this weekend. Stay warm out there, and know that sooner or later this winter will pass and we’ll be back in flip flops, sipping boat drinks. Until then I hope you are enjoying the season and getting into the holiday spirit!

Club Meeting This Saturday!
The December meeting will be taking place this Saturday, December 17 at 6:00 PM at Hopper’s. We know that Saturday morning is supposed to bring snow, but we hope that by the late afternoon you’ll be ready to get out of the house and come party with your Parrot Head friends! Remember, December is our big Jimmy Buffett Birthday Party meeting! Help us celebrate Jimmy’s birthday (and the holidays) by bringing a wrapped Parrot Head gift to donate to our charity raffle. By bringing a gift, you’ll get an extra raffle ticket. And who knows, you could win something awesome from the mystery gift table!
December is also a time for giving, so we have two charity drives taking place at this month’s meeting. We’ll be collecting new, unwrapped toys for Toys for Tots. We’ll also be collecting non-perishable food for TLC Meals on Wheels. In particular, Meals on Wheels has said they need small jars of peanut butter and jelly, as well as cat and dog food. Any food will be accepted and appreciated, but these items are in great need. Do what you can to give back while you’re Partying With A Purpose this month at the meeting. We appreciate it, and you, as always!
Membership Renewal Time
Now is the time of year to renew your membership for 2017. For those of you who joined after October, you’re already good for next year. For everyone else you will need to renew your membership to stay active for 2017. The quickest, easiest way to renew this year is online on our website at: www.colophc.org/renew. If you have trouble with that site, or just prefer to renew offline, you can renew your membership with cash or checks at the club meeting. You can also renew by mail. All of options and info you need to renew (including our mailing address) can be found on our CPHC website at www.colophc.org/renew/.
Celebrate the Season with Jimmy!
Finally, we are sure that most of you have already been listening to Jimmy Buffett’s new Christmas album, ‘Tis the Season. But have you seen the video for Jimmy’s Parrot Head version of the 12 Days of Christmas yet? If you haven’t, pour yourself some (spiked) eggnog and check out Jimmy’s tribute to this holiday classic.. featuring plenty of Parrot Head phun!
