It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas! I hope you are all having a wonderful week, enjoying the holiday season, and are staying warm on the days that are extra cold.
December Meeting Cancellation
Speaking of extra-cold days, I’m sorry that we had to cancel last Saturday’s meeting. I know many of you were willing to make the chilly trip to Hopper’s, and we appreciate it. It was probably an over-abundance of caution, but with the roads messy and icy, we just wanted to keep everyone safe and warm.
We are going to have a belated Jimmy Buffett Birthday/Holiday celebration during our January meeting. We’ll still do the raffle gift-swap, and we’ll still be collecting non-perishable foods for Meals on Wheels. I guess the good news about delaying is that you’ll have the perfect way to regift those holiday presents you don’t exactly love.. ha ha! Just bring them to the next meeting!
Want to Host a House Concert?
Trop Rocker Jimmy Parish is traveling through the Denver area in February, and is looking for a home to host a small house concert. He’ll be performing as a duo with his bass player, playing tunes from his 4 CDs, incuding his brand new album, I Need a New Island. Specifically, he’s looking for a place to perform on Saturday February 25, that can hose 25-30 people at $20/each. Lee Grodsky (who hosts our annual Party With a Purpose concerts) has offered to help with a sound system. Let us know if you may be interested or if you’d like more information.
That is all the news for today. I hope each and every one of you have a wondeful holiday!
Fins up!
