Happy Thursday! It’s almost 5 o’clock here, so let’s keep this short so we can get to happy hour!
Meeting This Weekend
Our May club meeting is this Saturday, May 21st at Hoppers. The weather is supposed to be sunny and nice, so you have no excuses, come spend time with the Parrot Heads! The Drink of the Month for May is called A Perfect Storm, featuring Kraken Black Spiced Rum & ginger beer for $4. Of course we will have our club raffle, and we’ll be collecting all the usual stuff (peanut butter, pop tops, canned food) for various charities. We hope to have live music, but that’s not confirmed yet. Either way, we’ll have some Jimmy tunes playing and lots of good times. Hope to see you there!
Jimmy Buffett Concert Ticket Payments Due by May 31st
We have received a lot of checks in the mail and over half of you have paid for your Buffett Red Rocks tickets. Thanks for sending your payments! We need to have the rest of the payments in by the end of the month, so if you haven’t paid, please plan on paying at this month’s meeting. We can take cash, checks or money orders at the meeting.
If you can’t make the meeting, you can mail us a check or money order payable to the “Colorado Parrot Head Club” – reach out to me for the address.
If you have sent a check, you may have noticed it’s not been deposited yet. We need all the payments in before we can deposit the checks and get a cashiers check for Red Rocks, so hopefully that will be soon.
Concert Pre-Party / Tailgating Update
We are still working on this. Unfortunately, Red Rocks has not been very accommodating in offering us any dedicated space to have a tailgate party like we have in the past at other venues. We have looked at some outside options, though they are much more expensive. We can discuss this at the meeting Saturday, so if you have suggestions/ideas, bring them. Otherwise, stay tuned for more info.
