CPHC Newsletter Hello and Happy February!   It’s a COLD one today!  Stay warm, my phriends!

I wanted to give a special “shout out” to Heather and the crew at Hoppers. They have done a great job the last couple of months serving food and drinks to all of us.  Next time you are in Hoppers, be sure to thank them for all their hard work during our meetings!

Remember to pay your annual dues!  We haven’t had many pay and join again so far this year.   Remember, you need to be a member to participate in the parade and some of the other activities we have planned this year.  Details below.

Thank you to all who donated at the January meeting. Pete and Karen took a check for $500 to the founder of Save a Gato in Puerto Rico.  The folks at Save a Gato were thrilled!!  Karen, the Susurradora de Gatos (Cat Whisperer), also brought a long a bunch of cat food and fed kitties all over old town San Jose.   She looked like the Pied Piper feeding stray cats in the streets of old town… she had quite a following.

Fundraiser:
Someplace Else Brewery in Arvada
6425 W 52nd Ave #6
February 8, 2020 6:00pm
Someplace Else will be hosting a fundraiser for Keira’s family.  As many of you know, our friend’s 13 year old daughter,  Keira,  tried to end her own life a few months back. She was in Children’s Hospital for over 90 days, most of that was in ICU. As you can imagine her medical bills are insurmountable. She will need care for a very long time to come.  Her family are good friends of ours, so we are helping with a fundraiser for the family, at Someplace Else Brewery.  Proceeds from all the beer sales will go to the family, there will be a silent auction with some cool items to bid on, and they will have a special night of trivia, costing each person $5 to play.  All proceeds from the evening will go to Keira’s family.  I hope to see you there!

As always, please bring a raffle prize or 2 to help us out.  See you next weekend!

Misc. Events
******************************************************************************************
Jeff Dunham is coming to the 1ST BANK Center (Broomfield Events Center) on April 4.

Several in our group are interested in going, so we checked into group tickets. They don’t really have a group ticket sales up there, and we were not able to get a large group of tickets, but we did manage to get a few.  We have a very limited number, so we will sell them on a first come first serve basis. The cost is $75 each.  Sorry we can’t accommodate everyone, but there are still tickets for sale, so if you’d like to go, and can’t fit into our limited number, please buy some tickets online.  It will be a very fun night. “Jeffafa” is a SUPER funny!

Contact Robin if you’d like to buy tickets. (by replying to this email)
