The Denver St Patrick’s Day Parade has been canceled!

March Events

We’ll have the following activities instead:

Fainting Goat – 11:00am early lunch
Saturday (14-March)

Since the new owner of the Fainting Goat was kind enough to donate money to sponsor us and our float, we decided we should all thank him by showing our support to him and going down there for lunch on Saturday.  He has a special menu for us.  Hope to see everyone there.

Address for the Fainting Goat:  846 Broadway, Denver, CO 80203

Party at Pete’s house and float tear down

We have all the alcohol that was supposed to be at the parade, so let’s get together for a cocktail or 2.. and help tear down our beautiful float that no one will get to see.  For those who haven’t seen it yet.. it’s a good one, so stop by and take pictures and join us to say goodbye to our float.

Same address as the float build: 5461 Marshall Street – Arvada

March Monthly Meeting

In case you hadn’t heard:
Jimmy Buffett is coming to RED ROCKS!!!
September 8 and 10, 2020!

I must have all requests by tomorrow.   Red Rocks is a “bucket list” item for many people so these tickets are in high demand.  I can’t sell you more tickets if you have already gotten your allotted amount.

You must be a current member, in good standing with the Colorado PHC, in order to get first shot at tickets to this concert.

Tickets will go to club members first, then on first come first served basis as memberships come in or are renewed.  After our members have gotten their tickets, if there are still tickets available,  I will sell those tickets to other Parrot Head Club members in good standing.  These are not my rules, these are PHIP rules and deadlines.

Tickets are going fast… so contact Robin today if you want yours! I need a complete and accurate count by March 13.  Please email the club email account at coloradophc@gmail.com to order your tickets.  I can’t take texts, FB requests, etc.. I am trying to keep all the requests in one place because it’s crazy, as you might imagine, and I don’t want to miss a request.

Remember, tickets will be sold on a first come first served basis. A commitment to buy tickets means you are responsible to pay for them.   Please bring the check on Saturday to the float tear down, or send a check for
($165.50 EACH) to: Colorado Parrot Head Club
% Robin Reed
7167 Dudley Drive
Arvada, CO 80004
Please make check payable to Colorado Parrot Head Club

Each single membership will be allowed 2 tickets TOTAL
Each family/couple’s membership will be allowed 4 tickets TOTAL

(you can use your tickets at one show, or split your tickets between both shows, I just need to know what dates you would like for your tickets)

Please do not ask me for extra tickets.  If you have friends who want tickets, they can join the club and I will put them on the list.

Cost $165.50 each

We have had several people forget that extra .50 cents. I know it doesn’t sound like much, but with the number of tickets we have, we will lose a lot of money if we don’t collect that extra .50 cents from everyone.. so please don’t forget to add it up correctly.
2 Tickets is $331… and 4 tickets is $662.

Ticket prices include a free download of Jimmy’s new CD, so if you don’t want your email address sent off to get this download, please let me know. If you do not let me know that you object, I will be sending your email addresses to the Margaritaville people so they can send everyone the link to download Jimmy’s latest album.

Bill “Sauce Boss” Wharton has brought his swamp-funk, slide guitar-one-man band, and a pot of gumbo all across the US and to Canada, Europe, and Asia. Sauce Boss cooks gumbo while performing; serving up bowls to the audience at the end of the shows.  He has served well over 200,000 people for free at his legendary live shows.  Sauce Boss is the guy Jimmy Buffett sings about in “I Will Play for Gumbo”. Wharton’s blues anthem, “Let the Big Dog Eat”, has been covered by many, including Albert Castiglia. His version was #1 on the Roots Music Report for twelve weeks. The tune was also in Jonathan Demme’s movie “Something Wild”. Now, Bill’s music will be featured throughout the soundtrack in the documentary, “Jimmy Carter – Rock and Roll President”, debuting early in 2020.

****************************************************************************************** Jeff Dunham is coming to the 1ST BANK Center (Broomfield Events Center) on April 4.

Several in our group are interested in going, so we checked into group tickets. They don’t really have a group ticket sales up there, and we were not able to get a large group of tickets, but we did manage to get a few.  We have a very limited number, so we will sell them on a first come first serve basis. The cost is $75 each.  Sorry we can’t accommodate everyone, but there are still tickets for sale, so if you’d like to go, and can’t fit into our limited number, please buy some tickets online.  It will be a very fun night. “Jeffafa” is a SUPER funny!

Contact Robin if you’d like to buy tickets. (by replying to this email)
