Our 2024 Party With a Purpose (PWAP) is back for another weekend of amazing music and lots of Parrot Head fun! Grab your admission wristbands now and plan on joining us for all the festivities!

The Party: Join us for two full days of live music featuring an amazing lineup! You won’t want to miss performances by Thom and Coley, Mike Nash, Steve Hopper, Mark Mulligan, Rudy B, David Cary and Ralyn Galye, Michael Ault, Marc Stone, and Mick O’Fury!

The Purpose: This is our biggest charity event of the year! During PWAP, we’ll host a silent auction and a raffle featuring some really great items, with proceeds going to charity. Please consider donating items for our raffle and silent auction before the event. The 2024 PWAP charity is the Family Promise of Greater Denver. In addition to our fundraising, please consider bringing gently used or new clothing, new shoes, and toiletries to donate to Family Promise. We’ll have collection boxes inside the gate for your donations.

When: Saturday, July 20, and Sunday, July 21, 2024. Gates open at 2 pm daily.

Where: At CPHC President Pete’s Place on Sticky Pete’s Oysters and Half-Shell Shack, Main Stage. Pete’s address: 5461 Marshall St, Arvada, Colorado 80002

Admission: $100 per person, which includes admission for both days.

Food & Drink: Please bring a side dish to share for our daily potlucks! On Saturday the club will provide brisket and chicken, so please bring a side dish or dessert to share. On Sunday, we’ll have a taco bar, and the club will provide the meat, tortillas, and taco shells. Please bring ‘go-with’ items for the taco bar, a side dish, or dessert to share. Please BYOB – bring your own beverages.

What to Bring on Party Day: Bring your own chair, easy-ups, and beverage cooler. Remember to bring sunscreen and dress in layers for the ever-changing Colorado weather.

Decoration Contest: We had so much fun with the decorating contest last year that we’re doing it again! Join the fun and decorate your easy-ups/seating areas. This year’s theme is to decorate your seating area like we’re tailgating at a Buffett Concert! Let’s get creative!

What does my admission cover?

Admission to the party
A potluck meal. The club will provide brisket as well as plates, utensils & napkins.

What should I bring to the Party With a Purpose?

BYO beverages; coolers are welcome
BYO chairs, sunscreen, easy-up/shade canopy
Bring a jacket, blanket, or layered clothing so you’re ready for a hot day and cool night
Bring a potluck dish to share, such as a side dish, an appetizer, or a dessert… you name it!
Bring cash, a checkbook, or a credit card to participate in our charity raffle and silent auction.
Bring more cash for our pong game and jello shots!

Are children and/or pets allowed?

Sorry, but pets are not allowed, and this is a 21+ event.

Do I need to be a CPHC member to attend?

No… although if this event sounds fun, you should check out the Colorado Parrot Head Club. We host lots of great events and house concerts during the year. Join the phlock and have lots of phun!

Where do I park?

There is limited parking around the area, so try to carpool or use a ride-share service if possible. You can park on the streets in the neighborhood west of Pete’s place. You can also park in the restaurant parking lot on the north side of his house. Do not park in the Marshall Liquor Store parking lot or at the shop directly next door to the south of Pete’s house.

How can I help make PWAP a success?

It takes a phlock to throw off the Party With a Purpose each year! We would greatly appreciate your help if you’re interested in volunteering or donating items for our silent auction or raffle baskets. What charities will benefit from this event?

The 2024 PWAP will benefit Family Promise of Greater Denver.

For the past 27 years, Family Promise of Greater Denver has been dedicated to helping the lives of families experiencing homelessness. Their mission is to form relationships with families at risk of or experiencing homelessness by providing shelter, meals, and a spectrum of supportive services as they obtain permanent stability. They provide these prevention services before families reach a crisis, as well as case management if they become homeless. They help families rebuild their lives.

Please remember to bring cash for our silent auction and raffle. We’ll also have donation bins for items in need by Family Promise, such as new or gently used clothing, new shoes in various sizes, and toiletries.
