Happy Thirsty Thursday! (Friday Eve!)
Red Rocks:
Our Red Rocks week was a huge success! Thank you to all who helped. All the folks from the other clubs said they had a wonderful time. Many of these folks traveled a long way to see Buffett at our beloved Red Rocks, and last week did not disappoint any of them! The Colorado Parrothead Club was given many kudos and a lot of thanks! I heard a lot of comments like “thanks for being so hospitable and nice” and comments on how “Epic” the events of the week were.
The Landsharks show was also a huge success! Wow… are they fantastic! That show gave a whole new meaning to “house concerts!!” Thanks to all who came out to see them.
There were a few issues, as would be expected, for an event of this size. Thank you to those who were understanding and easy to work with.
While our tailgating was more controlled due to Covid-19 restrictions, I hope everyone was able to enjoy the community spirit. For those few days.. it felt like life was almost normal again.

Who’s in for the Denver HalloweenParade?
Saturday, October 23, 2021 – 6:00pm
After a hiatus due to COVID, we are very excited to announce that the Fourth Annual Broadway Halloween Parade, presented by the Broadway Merchants Association and Denver City Council Lucky District 7, is back! The parade will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021 and we hope you will join us. The parade will travel down Broadway from 5th Ave. to Alameda Ave starting at 6pm!
Start getting those costumes ready for our theme of “Parrothead Zombies after the Covid Apocalypse!!”
We will build the float on Saturday, 16-Oct, and on Friday evening 22-Oct at Pete’s house.
Start collecting zombie decorations for the float, zombie costumes, candy and glow sticks. It’s always a lot of fun handing out candy and glow sticks to the kids along the parade route!

Misc. Housekeeping: Now is a great time to update your mailing address, email addresses and phone numbers with the club, if you have moved within the past few years, please send me your current information, so I can update the roster. The CDs that came out with the Red Rocks Concert tickets showed we have a lot of old and incorrect information.

Club T-shirts!!
We got in a new shipment of Club T-shirts, and folks from the other Parrothead Clubs went on a “feeding frenzy” buying them! We don’t have many left, but if anyone wants a club t-shirt, please let me know, cost $35 each.
In case you’ve forgotten what they look like:
We sold out of our “Parrotheads on the Rocks” Shirts for the Buffett shows. They were a big hit!
$5 from each shirt sale (both club shirts and Red Rocks shirts) went to “Vested Interest in K-9s, Inc.”This is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide bullet and stab-protective vests and other assistance to dogs of law enforcement and related agencies around the country.
Our t-shirt money from last week, raised enough to buy a vest for the new K-9, named Hulk, at the Arvada Police Department. Each vest costs $1000. The management and K-9 officers at the Arvada PD are very appreciative of the Colorado Parrothead Club.
