Hello Parrot Heads. Another month is quickly slipping away.
I’ve received several emails from people who are upset we are not having meetings. First off, I will say that the majority of the Parrothead Clubs around the world are NOT holding regular meetings. Some are doing Zoom/virtual meetings, others are only meeting if they can do it outdoors for house concerts like we are. We feel our house concerts being outdoors allow for safe social distancing.
We are not able to meet at Hoppers due to current state laws. They can’t accommodate our whole group. The tables have to be 8 feet apart. We aren’t allowed to mingle between tables. This would mean no raffle ticket sales and no one would be allowed to talk to anyone outside the table where they are sitting. If the folks at Hoppers choose to have volleyball tournaments where no one follows these rules, that is their choice. I don’t know what else to say about not being able to have monthly meetings other than we are trying to follow these new rules as best we can. WE don’t want to be the ones causing the problems for our host bar.

Sorry folks, we still can’t meet at Hoppers. (see above) The only way we’ll see each other is at the house concerts listed below. The Trop Rock artists have all been seriously impacted by the COVID-19 with no shows, so if you are able to, please come out and support our friends. Pete’s yard is plenty big for social distancing.
This has been a LONG year, and I think people are ready to get together, so the house concerts are a way we can see each other AND practice social distancing. Please join us for these shows.. they are going to be GREAT!

Steve will be playing at Roger and Vicki Sams, in Colorado Springs the SAME NIGHT, starting at 6pm. If you’d like to go, please contact Vicki Sams to let her know you’ll be there and to get directions.

As most of you have heard, Thom will be undergoing vocal cord surgery on 24-Aug at Vanderbilt Medical Center, to remove a polyp. Thom will not be able to speak or sing at the show, but he will be there playing guitar, as the beautiful, Coley McCabe sings. They have had to cancel a lot of shows, and were greatly affected during the quarantine, so please come out to support our phriends, Thom and Coley!
Prior to the concert, Thom will be doing a small art show. For those who haven’t seen his work, check out his Facebook page and his Forever Home Pet Portraits. Thom is an amazing artist.. and will have some of his work on display and will take orders for personal pet portraits!
Headwaters Music Festival in Creede, Colorado has been CANCELLED

Club T-shirts!!
We still have plenty of t-shirts for our 25th Anniversary!!! We have quite an assortment of colors (Pink, as shown below, Black, Butter Yellow, Caribbean Blue, Steel Gray, Periwinkle, Salmon and Sea Foam Green). We have a wide variety of sizes, and both men’s and lady’s cut shirts (lady’s cut are only available in pink). The one shown below is a lady’s cut, with both front and back pictured.
Please contact Robin or Pete to arrange getting your cool new club shirt! The cost is $30 each. (if you can’t pick one up, drop a check in the mail to us and please add $5 per shirt for shipping.)

The SHOW IS MOVED TO December 12, 2020!!
Several in our group are interested in going, so we checked into group tickets. They don’t really have a group ticket sales up there, and we were not able to get a large group of tickets, but we did manage to get a few. We have a very limited number, so we will sell them on a first come first serve basis. The cost is $75 each. Sorry we can’t accommodate everyone, but there are still tickets for sale, so if you’d like to go, and can’t fit into our limited number, please buy some tickets online. It will be a very fun night. “Jeffafa” is a SUPER funny!
