CPHC Weekly News

Happy Saturday everyone!

Sorry for the late email this week. Chris and I have had an insanely busy few weeks. In fact we’ve been too busy to even complain about how busy we are, so I won’t. If you’re curious, ask me tonight over a beer at the monthly meeting. We’ll be meeting at 6pm at Hopper’s. This should be a pretty chill meeting since our band can’t make it… but we’ll still have a raffle and announcements. If that’s not exciting enough to bring you out, the Broncos will be playing tonight, too. Come on down and have beers with me and let’s all catch up!

Our Next PHUNdraiser: The Walk to End Alzheimer’s

Just a reminder that next month CPHC will be participating in the Denver Walk to End Alzheimer’s Disease. The walk takes place at Denver City Park on Saturday, September 15 at 9:00 AM. All Parrot Heads and their family and friends are invited to join us as we walk to raise awareness and funds to fight this horrible disease. There is no cost to walk with us, and no obligation to raise money towards your walk. We do appreciate anything you can do to raise funds for our team, but even if you just show up and walk with us, that’s a great way to support the cause. Please consider signing up or making a donation towards our team… or both! You can learn more about the event and how to join or donate by visiting http://act.alz.org/goto/CPHC.

Halloween Parade

I’ve had a few folks reach out to say they’d like to do this parade, and would be happy to help get things organized. If you’re interested in participating but haven’t reached out, let me know tonight. Then I’ll work on getting a team together to start the planning, so stay tuned! The 2nd annual Denver Broadway Halloween Parade on Saturday, October 20. Learn all about the parade at their website: broadwayhalloweenparade.com/about.html or you can check out our photos from the event in our Halloween Parade Photo Album on Facebook.

Reminder August 22: Mark Mulligan House Concert

Mark Mulligan & guitarist Rudy Bruggeman will be coming through Colorado this month, and JJ & Donna will be hosting him for a house concert at their home in Shiloh Ranch (Colorado Springs) on Wednesday, August 22. The gathering will begin around 6:00 PM, and music will start at 6:30 PM. This is a rain or shine event. Bring your own lawn chairs, beverage of choice, and a dish to share. A $20 per person donation is requested, which all goes to the musicians. For more information about the show and how to RSVP, click here to view a flyer for the show with all more information. It will definitely be a good time!

That’s all the news from me. I hope to see you all tonight!

Fins UP!
