Happy Friday Parrot Heads!

Are you ready for the weekend? I sure am! I’m especially excited that it’s a Colorado Parrot Head Meeting weekend. It feels like forever since I’ve seen some of you, so come on out tomorrow night for some Parrot Head
PHUN with me and the rest of the flock!
CPHC November Meeting & Election
Saturday, November 17Tomorrow night, Saturday 11/17, will be our CPHC monthly club meeting at Hoppers. Yeah, I know the weatherman says we may have a little bit of snow, but don’t let that keep you away. We’ll keep things warm and tropical inside Hoppers with some great music from Three Sheets, plus it’s been way too long since we’ve phlocked together for a meeting. We have a great raffle and lots of fun planned, so come on out! The meeting starts at 6:00 PM.

It’s CPHC Election Time!

This month we’ll also be celebrating the changing of the captain of the Colorado Parrot Head Club, as we select a new President to take the helm for 2019! Come on out to vote for your next Parrot Head President, and celebrate as we look forward to a PHUN new era for the club!  Pete Grosskreuz is the only name on your ballot, so voting should be quick and easy, but that’s no reason to skip the election. Come out and get to know your next president a little better, and celebrate as we officially name our next Prez-Elect!

This Month’s Charity
This month we will have another great charity raffle, filled with lots of good stuff (and some useless, fun crap too!) This month in honor of Veteran’s Day we’ll be raising funds for the Vietnam Veterans of America. Come and support this incredibly worthwhile cause, and maybe you can leave with some raffle prizes.

We Need Your Peanut Butter (and food, and coats, and pop-tops…)
As you may know, the 9Cares Colorado Shares food drive is tomorrow, but we won’t be doing our usual dropoff at the station this year. In fact, 9News isn’t offering their station as a dropoff point this time around. Furthermore, our donations “buckets” are feeling a big lighter than normal this year. So rather than donating this weekend, we’re making one last call for your food donations this month and we’ll schedule a dropoff next month. Bring your peanut butter & other non-perishable foods to the meeting this month & help us support our local food banks! We also need your pop-tops for the Ronald McDonald house. Additionally, we’ll be taking your gently-used coats for the Coats for Colorado drive. Bring it all on Saturday and help support those in need.

My personal thanks to Mike Arthurs for arranging all these donations once again this year. Show your thanks to Mike by sending him home with a carload of food & coats!

Renew Your Membership on Saturday
Bring your 2019 renewal payments to the meeting this month. Chris and I will be taking your cash, checks and credit card payments to renew your membership for 2019. As a reminder, renewal costs are $30 for individuals and $40 for couples/families. Pay at the meeting and that’s one more thing you can cross off your to-do list this year.

If you have any questions or additional news I need to address at the meeting this month, please email me at news@colophc.org
That’s all you need to know for the meeting tomorrow. I hope to see you there!

Fins up!
