TGIF Parrot Heads! I hope you’ve had a good week! Chris and I are attending a wedding in Florida this weekend, so we have to miss some of the Parrot Head events.. but the show will go on without us! Read on for info on tomorrow’s food drive delivery, tomorrow night’s club meeting, and last but not least, all those rumors that Jimmy may be back in Colorado next year…
Events Tomorrow: Saturday, November 19
Saturday Morning: 9Cares Food Delivery Tomorrow is the 9Cares Colorado Shares food drive. This is the time each year when we drop off all the peanut butter and non-perishable foods you’ve donated at the meetings. We hope that some of you will come out and join the team of Parott Heads making the donation. Here are the details:
On Saturday morning, join your fellow Parrot Heads as they caravan to drop off our food donations at the 9News location in Cherry Creek. Michael & Jane Arthur are leading the phlock, and the plan is to meet in the Whole Foods parking lot (2375 E 1st Ave, Denver, CO 80206 ) at 7:15am on Saturday. From there they will add some Parrot Head decorations & flair to the cars, and then head down to 9News to make our donation around 7:45am-8:15am. Members are encouraged to wear their finest Parrot Head attire so we can truly represent the spirit of our club! You never know, you may even wind up on TV like we did last year!
Saturday Evening: November Club Meeting Our November club meeting will happen at 6pm at Hopper’s Sports Grill. Dave and Lynne Center will be running this month’s meeting. There will be music from Three Sheets, with Brian, Jim and Bubba! Brian and Julie Walsh will be handling our charity raffle, so bring a few extra bucks and you can win some fun stuff! The proceeds will go to SafeHouse Denver and our annual holiday family gift sponsorship. Please come out & support the club and this important cause! It should be a good time.

The story suggests that next summer the Eagles and Jimmy Buffett may go on tour together. They specifically mentioned Coors Field as a possible location for a summer show. Yes, that is very exciting! However, we have no information on any confirmed show yet. We only know what has been published in the article, just like you. We have reached out to PHiP, but there are just no official details yet. We don’t even know if this will be a true “Buffett” show, or if it will be the Eagles with Jimmy as a special guest. Finally, we certainly don’t know about tickets, or if we’ll even get club tickets. Bottom line, there are lots of unknowns. So for now just breathe in, breathe out, and know that as soon as we have any more info we will pass it along!
