CPHC Weekly News

Happy Saturday everybody! Also, Happy Veterans Day to all of you veterans out there today. Chris and I send our sincere thanks & appreciation to those of you who served. We appreciate you!!

There are no club events this weekend, but lots of stuff coming up! Here’s the news:

Happening Next Week

9Cares Food Drive Collections & Delivery
Next Saturday, November 18 is the 9Cares Colorado Shares food drive. This is the time each year when we drop off all the peanut butter and non-perishable foods you’ve donated at meeting, and YOU are invited to participate in the drop off!

Final Food Collection Meet-Ups Next Wednesday & Thursday
Michael Arthur has been collecting all the items at each meeting and has graciously offered to hops two additional pick-ups this week for any last minute items you want to donate. Come drop off peanut butter, canned food or other non-perishable goods on Wednesday 11/15 at Lone Tree Brewing (8200 Park Meadows Dr #8222, Lone Tree, CO 80124) or on Thursday 11/16 at Hopper’s Sports Grill (I-70 Frontage Rd and Kipling St, Wheat Ridge). On both nights Michael will be there to collect your donations between 6pm-7pm. Come on down and join us for a couple of mid-week beers, and make a quick food donation to help members in our community stay fed this holiday season!

Join the Food Dropoff on Saturday, 11/18!
On Saturday morning, all Parrot Heads are encouraged to come join the caravan to drop off our food donations at the 9News location in Cherry Creek. The plan is to meet in the Whole Foods parking lot (2375 E 1st Ave, Denver, CO 80206 ) at 7:15am on Saturday. From there we’ll add some Parrot Head decorations & flair to our cars, and then head down to 9News to make our donation around 7:45am-8:15am. Members are encouraged to wear their finest Parrot Head attire so we can truly represent! Last year we made it on TV, so you never know what may happen this year!

Special thanks to Michael & Jane Arthur for once again setting this annual food drive! We appreciate all you do to help feed members of our community through this annual drive!

November Club Meeting, Saturday 11/18

The same evening of the 9Cares Colorado Shares food drive we’ll be having our November club meeting at Hopper’s. Sadly, Chris and I will be out of town for the meeting this month, but you know we’ll be there in spirit! In our absence, Dave Center (VP) and Lynne Center will be running this month’s meeting. I’m sure you’ll all be so sad that I won’t be there to yell announcements at you … not! Actually, I’m sure you’ll all have a really fun time without me. Just promise that if you talk about me in my absence, you make sure it’s all good things!

This month we will have music from Brian & Jim and we’ll have our charity raffle as usual. The raffle proceeds will go towards SafeHouse Denver and our holiday family gift sponsorship. Please come out & support the club and this important cause!

It’s Membership Renewal Time!

Last but not least…. it’s that time again! It’s time to renew your Colorado Parrot Head Club membership for 2018. Dave & Lynne will be able to accept your payments at the meeting, however, our card reader hasn’t been working very reliably for credit cards so PLEASE bring a check or cash if you want to renew this month.

Better yet… we have a quick & easy new way to renew online this year. If you are an active (paid) member and want to quickly renew online, check out our new QUICK RENEW form on the website. All you need to do is select your membership tier and enter your name & email address, then press PAY NOW button to renew online for 2018. It’s super quick and easy, and it allows you to process a secure credit or debit card payment for your dues. Save Dave and Lynne the extra work, and renew online today! Pay via Quick Renew or see all your other renewal options by visiting coloradoparrotheadclub.org/renew/

The benefits of renewing today:
Remember, you save on your membership dues if you renew by the deadline, but that’s not the only benefit of paying early! After this email, I will be sending email renewal reminders only to those of you who haven’t renewed yet. That means if you renew now, you can totally avoid getting those naggy, guilt-filled reminders! What better reason than that to renew today? Get more info about renewing and see how you can pay by visiting coloradoparrotheadclub.org/renew/

Well, that’s all the news and updates I have for today. Have a great weekend!

Fins up!
