Happy Thursday, Parrot Heads!
I wanted to send a special thank you to everyone who came to our club meeting last Saturday. We had a small crew, but boy were you a generous group! We raised $600 for the Miles for Melanoma race this weekend… plus the club agreed to make an additional donation to thank Pete and Robin for all their hard work! We appreciate everyone who participated in this great cause.

There were several club who have expressed an interest in joining Robin, Pete, Sandy and George for the Miles for Melanoma walk this weekend. The more the merrier! If you would like to sign up to participate in the walk, or if you want to make a donation to the team page, here is the info.

Thanks in advance to any of you who participate or give. If you were at the meeting you know that Melanoma is an illness that has personally affected George & Sandy, and Robin & Pete, as well as so many others. We appreciate you doing your part to help support melanoma research, education and advocacy.
Party With A Purpose Ticket Reminder
The party is just a few months away, but you should get your tickets while they last! If you haven’t heard already (and I don’t know how that’s possible, haha!) the Party With A Purpose will be happening Saturday, August 19. This is a house concert / fundraiser / BBQ not to be missed! Tickets are $25 and it includes a day of music, food, drinks and fun… all for a great cause! John Frinzi and Aaron Scherz are the featured artists this year. In addition to the music we’ll have a HUGE charity raffle and auction with some really amazing prizes! Again this year the proceeds will benefit TLC Meals on Wheels.

Donate to our silent auction & raffle
We are looking for donations for items for the Party With A Purpose silent auction and raffle! This is a big, special event.. so we are in search of some really special prizes! If you have any products, services or gift certificates you would like to donate, let us know. ALL the proceeds from the raffle and auction go directly to TLC Meals on Wheels. We can provide tax details, if needed, for your donation. Reach out to me or to Lee if you have something you may want to contribute.
Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning
Finally, club member Glen Behring will be coming to town in August, along with his carpet and upholstery cleaning equipment and supplies. If you would be interested in learning more about his cleaning services, you can reach Glen via email or cell phone (reach out to your Parrot Head Prez, Jeff, if you want his contact details). Glen will be in town from August 17 through Labor Day.
