Happy Thursday! Last week was such a blur that we forgot to add several important updates in our newsletter, so this week we have lots of news. Let’s get right into it.
Jim Morris is coming to Colorado!
What could be better than enjoying a house concert from Key West favorite Jim Morris? How about two house concerts! Jim Morris is coming through Colorado this month, and you don’t want to miss out! If you aren’t familiar with Jim Morris, check out his music at jim-morrismusic.com/
Jim Morris in Littleton, Saturday, June 25th
We hope you all come to enjoy Jim Morris when he plays in Littleton on Saturday, June 25th from 5pm to 10pm. Jill Christopher is hosting the show and you’re all invited to her backyard for a summer evening of great music and fun! Just bring your chairs, a drink, and a dish to share and enjoy the show. Tickets for this show are $20.
Space is limited so get your tickets early! You can pick up tickets to see Jim Morris in Littleton at a Sunday Social this Sunday, 4pm to 6pm, at Jackson’s at Celebrity Lanes (15755 E Arapahoe Rd, Centennial, CO). Look for Dave and Lynne Center on the Jackson’s Tiki Bar, enjoy a few beverages and purchase your tickets for the Littleton show.
Jim Morris at Shiloh Ranch, Sunday, June 26th
On Sunday, enjoy a 2nd Jim Morris show at the Shiloh Ranch, about 15 minutes northeast of Colorado Springs. The house concert details are the same – bring a chair, your beverages, a snack to share, and enjoy the music of Jim Morris for just $20. St. Patrick’s Day Parade Awards
I totally forgot to share the big news! At our last CPHC meeting on May 20th the Denver St. Patrick’s Day Committee presented us with TWO awards for our float entry in the 2016 parade! We won awards for the Best Non-Commercial Float, and the James P Eakins’ Award for Best of Parade! Congratulations Parrot Heads, and thanks to each and every one of you for helping make our float a success again this year!

Don’t forget that we have a Beer Friday at Steve and Alison Phillip’s next Friday, June 10th. We are thrilled to have Beer Friday’s back on the calendar, since they are fun, casual ways for members to get together and socialize with the rest of the phlock! Just bring your own beverage and a snack to share, and come join the fun! Steve and Alison’s address can be found in member’s newsletters; contact us if you missed it. We hope to see you there!
Finally, we are looking for silent auction donations for ourAugust 20th Party With A Purpose House Concert featuring Thom Shepherd and Coley McCabe. If you have a business or have connections with a business that may want to donate to goods, services, or gift certificates, please let me know. All proceeds from our raffle and silent auction will benefit TLC Meals on Wheels, and we want to make 2016 the best year yet! We appreciate your help!
