It’s Meeting Week!!

When: Saturday evening, 6:00 pm

Where:  Hopper’s Sports Bar – Wheat Ridge

As always, please help us out by donating a raffle prize or 2.  We greatly appreciate all the fun donations you guys have been bringing.

This month’s charity will be the feline rescue. Karen Bill.. the Susurradora de Gatos… will take the money to her favorite cat rescue and will spend time visiting some kitties while she is there.

John and Debi, Karen, and Susan will be running the meeting for us. Susan and Karen will be handing out parade wristbands for active members only. They will have a list of active members, so if you haven’t renewed, you can do so at the meeting or online at our website.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade Float Build!

It’s that time of year.. our favorite event is rapidly approaching!  We are registered for the St. Patrick’s Day Parade!

Parade day is March 11, 2023.  Stay tuned for more details.  Once again, we will have the 52 foot trailer pulled by Duffy’s Crane Service.

Float Build Weekend Coming Up!!

When: March 4 and 5, 9:00am

Where:  Pete’s Place

Parking:  Park in the restaurant parking lot to the North of Pete’s place.

Misc:  Please wear old clothes, we’ll be doing a lot of painting.  Bring snacks to share and bring your own beverages.

This year, the float will be a ‘Moving Party with a Purpose,’ complete with a live band!  Denver’s own “Groove Time Sitters” will be playing on the float! We’ll have a “beach scene” in front of the band, so those who need to ride the float will sit on their own chairs and watch the band.  We’ll have our Tiki Bar, and a few other “buildings” on the float to go with our beach/PWAP theme.

We don’t have an overall parade theme yet from the Denver St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee, but when we get that, we’ll figure out a way to tie our ‘Moving Party with a Purpose’ to the theme.

As always, you must be a member to walk or ride with us in the parade, so please renew your registrations. We’ll be handing out wrist bands on float build days, as well as at the February meeting, and on the morning of the parade.

Start putting your costumes together! Dress in your favorite crazy Parrothead and St. Patrick’s Day outfits!

Also, please start gathering candy and leis to hand out during the parade route. This year we thought it would be fun to hand out leis instead of beads.. after all.. we are the Colorado Parrothead Club!

If you need to ride on the float, please contact us to reserve your spot. We have a limited number of spaces for riders, so this will be a first-come first served basis.

We need sponsors to help us pay for the float.  If you know of anyone or any business who would like to help us out, we would greatly appreciate it.  We will hang your company logo/banner from our float for anyone who helps sponsor us!
