It’s almost St. Patrick’s Day!!!

Float Build This weekend!!

When: March 4 and 5, 9:00am – ??

Where:  Pete’s Place

Parking:  Park in the restaurant parking lot to the North of Pete’s place.

Misc:  Please wear old clothes, we’ll be doing a lot of painting.  We will have donuts in the morning, so bring your own coffee and bring snacks to share throughout the day.  Bring your own beverages for the day as well.

This year, the float will be a ‘Moving Party with a Purpose,’ complete with a live band!  Denver’s own “Groove Time Sitters” will be playing on the float! We’ll have a “beach scene” in front of the band, so those who need to ride the float will sit on their own chairs and watch the band.  We’ll have our Tiki Bar, and a few other “buildings” on the float to go with our beach/PWAP theme (and yes, our famous confetti canon will be on board).

The overall parade theme from the St. Patrick’s Day Committee is “Everyone is Irish.”  Keep that in mind when you are putting your costumes together.

As always, you must be a member to walk or ride with us in the parade, so please renew your registrations. We’ll be handing out wrist bands on float build days, and on the morning of the parade.

Start putting your costumes together! Dress in your favorite crazy Parrothead and St. Patrick’s Day outfits!

Also, please start gathering candy and leis to hand out during the parade route. This year we thought it would be fun to hand out leis instead of beads.. after all.. we are the Colorado Parrothead Club!

If you need to ride on the float, please contact us to reserve your spot. We have a limited number of spaces for riders, so this will be a first come first served basis. If you need to ride, please bring your own chair to sit on during the parade.

We need sponsors to help us pay for the float.  If you know of anyone or any business who would like to help us out, we would greatly appreciate it.  We will hang your company logo/banner from our float, for anyone who helps sponsor us!

Thank you to our generous sponsors!  So far, we have:

– Trish Dishman-Rompies with Apex Title.
– Pete Grosskreuz with Deck Tune Up and Construction.
– Jack Bush – who always sends us a personal donation for the parade.
