Happy Friday! There are no official club events happening this weekend, but here’s the news you need to know:
St. Paddy’s Day Float Update
Thanks to all who participated in all of our Denver St. Patrick’s Day Parade float planning the past week. We received a bunch of votes for the final name/theme of our Wizard of Oz inspired float, Without further ado, the winning name is: There’s No Place Like Margaritaville!
With 66% of the vote, it’s clear that many of you wish you could click your heels together to wind up in Margaritaville at the Emerald City. Thanks for everyone who participated in the vote! Over the next couple of weeks I’ll be working with a few of our build and design leads to finalize the plan, so stay tuned. More details will be coming as we near the build dates, which will begin late next month.
January Meeting Notes
Last Saturday we had our January meeting at Hopper’s. We raised $425 for TLC Meals on Wheels in our mystery gift raffle, plus everyone brought lots of non-perishable food. Thanks to Three Sheets for playing, and to everyone who turned out and donated to the raffle. It was a fun night! Our next club meeting will be Saturday, February 18th.
Beer Friday Next Week, Feb. 3
Reminder! On Friday, February 3rd, Janette Lawler is hosting a Beer Friday and game night at her home in Wheat Ridge. We hope you join us there for some adult beverages and games to start off the weekend. If you’ve never been to a Beer Friday, all you need to do is show up with whatever you’d like to drink, plus a snack to share. Membership Renewals Due by Jan. 31
Many of you have already renewed your CPHC membership for the 2017 calendar year, so thanks! For those of you who haven’t renewed yet, now is the time. Renewal rates are $30 for individuals and $40 for families through January 31st, then they go up by $5 each. Send in your renewal today!
